The top-seed at Rolex Paris Masters 2019, Novak Djokovic saved himself from becoming a round-one upset. Post his match, the Serb alluded to the fast conditions of the court. He mentioned that the court conditions vary from the practice sessions as the involvement of the public during the professional matches creates an impact.

“Well, I must say conditions are quite different from practice day. I practiced a couple of days in a row on the center court, but the ball flies through the air more. Actually, when you play an official match, the people come in, it’s a bit more humid. The ball flies through the air and it’s tougher to control,” said Novak Djokovic.

On Wednesday, the Serb saved two sets points against the home favorite, Corentin Moutet in the opening set, and later wrapped up the match in two sets, 7-6(2), 6-4. “It was a good match in the end, and I found a way to win, which in [these] circumstances… when you’re not feeling your best, is important,” he said.
