Medvedev began proceedings in the second set. Surprisingly, he was broken in the very first game. From there on, it was Zverev who did not let his foot lose. He did not lose his service game once during the match.

In the end, after 42 minutes, he sealed the set 6-4 and thus won the ATP Finals 2021. Both players had faced each other during the group stage matches earlier this week. In that tie, it was the Russian star who came out on top.

After today’s win, let us take a look at some of the tweets congratulating the German World No. 3 on his second ATP Finals title. Jelena Djokovic, Novak Djokovic’s wife, was one of the first ones to congratulate him. Even Serena Williams’ coach Patrick Mouratoglou joined in, offering best wishes.
