The two faced off in the main event of UFC 247. The fight lasted the entire duration of 5 rounds. While Jones emerged victorious via unanimous decision, many believe that he almost lost that day.
Immediately after the fight, Jones told The Devastator that their rematch would be epic. And that’s just what Reyes plans on delivering. An epic performance.

In an interview with The Score, Reyes shared his plans for the rematch with Jon Jones. He said,
“One thing I would like to improve [is that] I would like to knock him out. I mean, I touched him. Going into the fight was like, ‘Am I gonna be able to touch this guy? He’s so long. Am I gonna be able to get to him?’ And I was. And I can. Pretty easily. So, now, I’m gonna knock him out.”

During the interview, the interviewer revisited Jones vs. Reyes. Talking about whatever he learned from the fight and what new incorporations into his routine will reflect in the rematch, Reyes said,
“I’m still very young in this game, man. I’m improving every day. That’s the best part! Bro, I’m an iceberg man. You guys still haven’t even seen everything I have to offer. I’m excited about that. I’m growing every day. Obviously, my cardio is improving. [Then], I’m getting stronger.”

Looks like Reyes is going all-in for his rematch with Jones. He even stated that he might bring in other teammates from Team Quest and even Team Elevation for practice. Some names he mentioned were Andrew Capel, Sam Alvey, and Jamal Pogues.

Regarding the timeline of the rematch, Reyes believes that’s the next move for him at the UFC. While the match could have taken place in the next few months, he believes that the coronavirus has pushed the match to late fall/December.
