Lamar Jackson had a happy outing for Ravens as they pushed hard in the last minutes, to edge out a 19-17 win over the Bengals. It gave them a 2-3 start to the season. The MVP candidate played a critical part in the victory with a game-winning drive. The 25-year-old star led the Ravens into the field goal range with an amazing 18-yard run. His running game helped to get the ball close to Justin Tucker. Tucker displayed class as he hit a 43-yard field goal.

Talking about the game-changing moment, Jackson was all smiles but explained one regret he had in the game. “Oh, my god, I should have given a little bit more air on the pass, you know, it was like two guys in front of me and I just see wide open. I just tried to shoot it like shoot and run in there. But I should have given the ball a little more air, but we won the game. So I’m good,” he said.

The Ravens star had a difficult outing, as he missed some throws in most parts of the game. The Ravens’ defense was also off color. However, he made everyone forget that part with the match-winning effort alongside Tucker.

Last season in AFC North, the Bengals downed Ravens on both occasions and clinched the division title. It was a closely fought game from the initial part. Both teams left no chance for scoring. The Bengals missed some key chances, while Ravens paid to focus on the possession game. It proved a big difference in the outcome. Earlier, Ravens took a 16-10 lead before the Bengals staged a fightback.

Lamar Jackson won the MVP in 2019 with a stellar show. He completed 66 percent of his passes. The star obtained a 113.3 passer rating. He also added 80 yards per game on the ground, which was one of the best shows that year.
