Olympians Tried the Us Marine Combat Fitness Test- Here’s What Happened Next

Austen Alexander, a Navy veteran, uploaded a video on YouTube, where he put up Olympian against the Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test.

The Combat Fitness Test is a physical fitness test specifically designed for the United States Marine Corps. The test allows us to evaluate and understand some basic qualities like strength, stamina, agility, and coordination.

The reason behind introducing this test is to analyze one’s physical capacity, which is a must for the Marine Corps. It is a scored test that takes place every six months. The series of events under this must happen in 2 hours with proper time allowance for relaxation.

Olympic athletes gear up for Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test

The Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test comprises various events like 880M Run (MTC), ammo can lift, and the movement under fire. The scoring pattern follows a particular age standard, which helps assign one’s physical ability in combat situations.

Some Olympic sprinters like Keturah Orji, Kendell Williams, and Allie Wilson showed up in the video to perform the test.

Keturah and Kendell are two-time Olympians in the triple jump, and track and field respectively. Meanwhile, Allie is a middle-distance runner representing the Atlanta Track Club and specialized in the 800 meters.

Each event offers 100 points for completing the task before the maximum time. Moreover, all three of the athletes gave their best and showed off their physical abilities concerning their age groups.

The results gave Kendell and Allie the full score while Keturah received 294 out of 300 as she came 6 points short of max, in the 88M Run. The Olympians successfully passed the Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test.

Olympian Kendall Williams aces the test!

While the test requires different physical abilities to score a full mark, Kendell Williams made it seem effortless. The athlete was all set to perform next after Keturah who’s time was 3:20 seconds.

“I feel okay um done a little bit of training so I’m like I should be able to get through the meters, it’s just how fast. I think tourists had a pretty good bar,” said Kendell, the two-time track and field Olympian.

She was confident about qualifying for the event within time and so she did. Kendell raised the bar, scoring full marks.

All the athletes proved themselves worthy of being Olympians, acing the test and make it look quite easy. No wonder they are amongst the best athletes in the world.
