Not only this but also, the duo performed incredibly during the 2019 season wherein they won the CSI5 1.60m Rolex Grand Prix in Geneva in 2020 December. Additionally, a silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in 2018 and two bronze medals. This was for the team in the European Championship in 2015 and 2017. Also, achieving the Vice-Champion title from the Longines FEI World Cup Finals in 2019 is a cherry on top.

Clooney was already great as a young horse,” said Martin Fuchs, talking to the showjumping committee. He added by saying that, “Before we brought him, he placed well in the German Championships for Young Horses in Warendorf and in the FEI WBFSH jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken as a 7-year-old. I loved him already from watching his videos and then even more when I tried him,” shared Fuchs.

Even though Martin used to describe Clooney as a “bit difficult” in the initial phase, the duo developed a strong bond. Indeed, it contributed to a very successful run of achievements starting from the year 2015, 2016 and 2017 Nations Cup finals in Barcelona to Olympics in 2021.
