It all started with a cryptic tease: “And so it begins…omg, what a week!! Thank you, @nbcolympics, @nbcthevoice, and @teamusa! Can’t believe @milanocortina2026 is right around the corner 🇮🇹🍝👀.” And just like that, Mikaela Shiffrin dropped a hint that something big was brewing. Three days ago, the two-time Olympic champion gave fans a glimpse into her whirlwind LA adventure—and what a ride it was. Shiffrin’s Instagram carousel was a vibrant collage of contrasts. One photo showed her in full racing gear, gripping her signature red Atomic skis with the fierce focus that’s earned her global respect. Another had her beaming in high-waisted jeans and a cropped tee, casually posing in front of the Olympic rings. It looked like a classic glam-meets-grit photoshoot… but this was much more than just a pit stop in Hollywood.

The real surprise? Mikaela Shiffrin was a guest on the season finale of The Voice—yes, that Voice—and the world of music and entertainment was all eyes. But what happened there? Let’s keep that saved for later. In fact, even the most decorated athletes can be awestruck by the magic of the stage. How? On May 25, Shiffrin posted another set of pictures—this time from her Voice appearance—on Instagram, capturing the glam side of her journey.

Dressed in a chic floral ensemble and clutching an Adidas Originals Snake Mini Bag, she posed backstage and on set, clearly still basking in the moment. And the caption?  “Still can’t believe last week was real life.🤯 Seriously! Pinch me. So much fun, @nbcthevoice. (And congrats again, @adamdavidofficial and @michaelbuble!),” The two-time Olympic champion wrote. Now, get back to the actual story.

On May 20, Shiffrin swapped the slopes for the stage as she appeared on the show’s 27th season finale. In a playful segment, she tried to give coaches Michael Bublé and Kelsea Ballerini a crash course in skiing—right there on a soundstage. Between “pizza and French fry” stances, some makeshift ski simulators, and a flurry of fake snow (yes, she blew it right at Ballerini), the whole bit was gloriously goofy. You could tell she was having fun, even if the skiing lesson was a bit of a stretch indoors.

But then came the real twist. As the playful segment wrapped up, Bublé and Ballerini turned the tables. They sat Mikaela down with a guitar and a mic, nudging her into unfamiliar terrain: singing. With just a breath of hesitation, Shiffrin began strumming and singing Anna Nalick’s haunting ballad “Breathe (2 AM).” From the first line, the room shifted. Bublé and Ballerini exchanged surprised glances, then fell into a stunned silence, visibly moved by Shiffrin’s raw, heartfelt performance.

With her eyes closed for most of the song, the champion skier poured her nerves into each note. And when she finished, unsure of what she had just done, she quietly asked, “So, how did I do?” “You’re perfect,” Ballerini said without missing a beat. That simple compliment? It made Mikaela Shiffrin’s day—and probably her entire trip. However, Mikaela Shiffrin is not a newcomer to television.

And it wasn’t just the audience who was captivated—Fallon himself was all ears, even joking about joining her for some runs in the snow. Shiffrin, ever the sport, played along. Later, she took to Facebook to reflect on the moment: “That was fun, The Tonight Show!! Let me know when you want to take those ATOMIC Redsters out for a few laps, Jimmy Fallon! Thanks for having me on – always have to pinch myself in these situations. So great to see you again!”

It’s moments like these that remind fans why Shiffrin continues to inspire, on and off the mountain. Whether she’s racing down icy slopes or lighting up late-night TV, she brings the same authenticity and energy that’s made her a legend.
