Athletes representing Team USA in Canoeing

As mentioned above, the USA is not a canoeing powerhouse and they don’t a lot of athletes going to the Tokyo Olympics 2020. USA’s complete roster is extensive, but only two female athletes will represent the nation in canoeing events.

Likewise, there are two male athletes who will participate in canoeing at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Hence, the USA canoeing team is made up of four athletes gunning for glory

Evy Leibfarth

Nevin Harrison will aim for medal finishes in the women’s sprint events, while Evy Leibfarth will participate in the slalom events.

19-year-old Nevin Harrison is a mighty talent to look out for. She began competing for the USA aged just 15 and is the reigning world champion in the 200m canoe single event.

Evy Leibfarth is in fact, younger than Harrison. She is just 17 but has already shown glimpses of world-class talent. She began competing at 15 as well and has won medals in international events. Leibfarth is certainly a competitor to keep an eye on, despite her inexperience at the Olympic games.
