“I really have no experience,” Stephen Nedoroscik had confessed when the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ show reached out to him post his successful Paris Olympic stint. “The only dance experience I have, fun fact, is THON 2017,” he stated, referring to the time Penn State dancers stood for 46 hours straight at the Bryce Jordan Center to raise money for pediatric cancer patients. But the only motivation to join the 33rd edition of DWTS was remembering how the audience cheered on as he danced at THON. “That was one of my favorite memories of Penn State,” and that also set him up for success on one of America’s biggest reality shows!
From participating in DWTS to co-hosting it, he has come a long way. 108 days, panning 81 shows across the U.S. and Canada, “Live 2025” would run from Jan. 7 to Apr. 6, which didn’t just feature top numbers from the latest season but also new choreography from Mandy Moore, who worked on “The Eras Tour” and “La La Land.” That’s how long Stephen Nedoroscik spent co-hosting the Dancing With The Stars Live Tour after he was placed fourth during the finale of season 33. But now, as the tour concludes in April 2025, the Olympic medalist has penned a special message to the crew.
Stephen Nedoroscik took to X on Friday and wrote, “What a privilege it is to be sad when something ends, thank you so much Dancing With The Stars.” Nedoroscik shared a much longer emotional farewell on Instagram. “I am so blessed to have spent these last 108 days cohosting the Dancing With The Stars Live Tour. Thank you to everyone who made this tour possible, together you all made it so enjoyable. Thank you so much Rylee for giving me not only an amazing experience on the show, but for also being a truly great friend and dance partner throughout tour as well.

“I joined tour because I wasn’t ready for our dance journey to be done yet. Unfortunately the universe decided our dance journey was done a little earlier than I expected, and we never got a real last dance together. I’m so grateful for you, and I hope we get the chance to have a real last dance together.
“Thank you to the entire cast. Whether you were here the whole time, or just a week, you all made this experience something I will cherish forever… And lastly, thank you to all the fans. Hearing all of you cheer and seeing your enjoyment every night has been an honor. A year ago I was nervous speaking to 20 kids at a gymnastics camp, and because of the support all of you have given me I’ve grown so much more confident in not only my public speaking, but also in myself. Ugh let’s just get on with the Cha Cha, Sheriff Neighhhhdoroscik over and out.”
Even his X bio highlighted that he was nostalgic and was going to miss DWTS. It read, “It’s all hitting me 😭 thank you everything DWTS, this was truly the time of my life 🕺🪩💃“. In fact, his bio kept changing during his DTWS era. In one hilarious incident, he got nicknamed Doop by Nikita, who is the daughter of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional dancers Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov. He even changed his bio to, “Nikita has named me. I’m ‘Doop.”
After the duo made it to the final of the DWTS, she said shared how the gymnast was hardworking and inspirational. This was despite the fact that he had several health complications and never danced before his stint on the show.

There is no wrong in what she said because the man was called Superman for the way he performed during the Paris Olympics. Nedoroscik, a pommel horse specialist, scored 15.300 in the individual event, surpassing his team’s final score of 14.866 and his qualification score of 15.200. The USA gymnastics men’s team won the bronze, ensuring their first podium finish since 2008. Then, after that, he went to the DWTS stage.

As the weeks went by, his performances kept getting better. On “Oscars Night,” he performed a Superman-themed Paso Doble, and during “Halloween Night,” he and Arnold earned their first 10 with a hauntingly dramatic contemporary routine. But when the finale came, he decided to pay tribute to his roots.
The gymnast-turned-dancer did a freestyle routine that incorporated the pommel horse—a first for the show—earning a perfect score. Though he finished fourth on the show, his journey is that of pure fun. In the process, he found an amazing friend in his dancing partner Rylee and a great hosting talent in himself.
