If Simone Biles is at any NFL game, one can always spot her in custom-made apparel that shouts out her affection for Jonathan Owens. Not to mention her ‘Owens’ necklace that she proudly wears as a gesture of love for the Bears’ safety. But for Owens, his methods to keep Biles close on the field are a bit different. However, they certainly leave a lasting impression. 

Prior to the big game between the Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders, Owens got ready for Monday Night Football with GQ. He showed how his stylist, Marc Mogul, helped him choose his outfit. But all the attention soon shifted to the ring on his left ring finger. He showed his diamond-studded wedding ring and said, “And so, with my ring, I originally, I knew Simone. She wanted a oval shape cut. And so on my ring, I actually have ovals in the middle.” However, he can’t always have his ring on when he is on the field.

And for those times, Jonathan Owens tattooed his wife’s initial ‘S’ on his ring finger. The NFL star stated, “But if I don’t have my ring on, though, like when I’m playing, that’s why I made sure I tattooed her initial right here. So, you know, she’s always with me.” 

Well, the ‘S’ on Owens’ finger wasn’t really a secret for Biles. She once told Leslie Robins, “He actually has a big ‘S’ on his ring finger so when he’s not wearing his ring playing I’m still there with him.” And the Olympian also showed a similar gesture to her husband.

Last year, after her ‘Gold over American Tour’ show in Arizona, the Olympic champion scheduled an appointment with a fine-line tattoo specialist Sydney Smith. The gymnast got a tiny ‘J’ etched onto her left hand’s finger.

On October 13, as Jonathan Owens and his team battled the Washington Commanders, Simone Biles stepped into the gallery with a white shirt and blue and orange track pants. The pants had the number ‘36’ on the left side, matching Owens’ jersey number. And on the right side, the trousers had ‘Owens’ written in bright orange letters, pulling all eyes towards it. 

Not just this, Biles also has a necklace with ‘JO’ initials on it that she often wears time to time at the NFL games. Biles once told People, “Being there for Jonathan makes me proud. I love cheering him on.”

More so, at the 2024 Paris Olympics, while Owens chose to wear a custom Simone Biles tee, the gymnast was also seen donning her ‘Owens’ necklace during practice sessions. Indeed, the couple never shy to go an extra mile to cheer for each other through their custom merch. And, now, the gymnast and the NFL safety have commemorated their love through ink.
