Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles set the DWTS stage ablaze with her high-energy Jazz performance to Tina Turner’s ‘River Deep – Mountain High’. Her improvement over the weeks has been phenomenal. And the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night was a performance like no other. But despite acing the choreography and earning praise from all four judges, Chiles got 38/40, with two 9s keeping her at bay from perfection. However, the fans didn’t agree.

DWTS shared a few glimpses of Chiles’ performance through their Instagram profile and captioned, “Feeling JAZZed after Jordan and Ezra’s #RockHallNight performance 🤘 We think Ike and @tinaturner would be proud 🔥 #DWTS.” Of course, the Olympic champion has already impressed the fanbase with her steady rise in the competition. Her first performance in the show received ample criticism from the judges to push her to become better. And every week after that, her performance has only been on a steady uphill climb.

The scores for the eighth week didn’t sit well with the fanbase, especially when corroborating the scores with the comments received from the judges. Carrie Ann Inaba claimed that Jordan Chiles “did not disappoint” as she took on Tina Turner’s iconic moves. And of course, the gymnast delivered it all too well. Derek Hough branded her as the “Queen of the Ballroom.”

After all, her flips were nothing but a reflection of her gymnastics routine. Absolute perfection! Flavor Fav and Bruno Tonioli loved the performance as well. But when it came to the scores, only Carrie Ann Inaba and Flavor Fav gave her a 10. Tonioli and Hough awarded Chiles a 9 each, setting her score at 38/40.

The fans were pretty annoyed with the scoring. According to many, Jordan Chiles deserved nothing but a perfect score for her Jazz performance. Let’s take a look at what the fans had to say.

Fans rally against DWTS judges for Jordan Chiles’ Week 8 scoring

Most of the fans claimed that the judges robbed the Olympic gymnast of a perfect 40. One fan connected Chiles’ case with that of Chandler Kinney’s. The comment read, “Jordan Chiles just got robbed of a perfect score, and I feel like this is Chandler all over again.” Another fan stood in support of Chiles, claiming that her Jazz routine was perfect. He wrote, “Jordan Chiles was ROBBED, that dance was PERFECT WTF.”

Meanwhile, many others believed that the scoring system was rigged. Hinting at unseen grudges, a fan wrote, “THIS IS LITERALLY RIGGED WHAT DO THESE JUDGES HAVE AGAINST JORDAN CHILES????” The judges usually have some feedback for Chiles. And as a participant in the dance competition, she has openly declared that working on this feedback has pushed her to become better. But fans weren’t too happy about it. One comment read, “I feel like the #DWTS judges try to humble Jordan Chiles every week…. And I don’t like it.” Another fan simply stated, “Those judges were really hard on Jordan Chiles tonight.”

On the other hand, there were a few fans who acknowledged Chiles’ outfit, especially her wig. And one fan even believed that the outfit should have gotten her a perfect score. He wrote, “Jordan Chiles should get a 10 just for wearing that f—a– wig all evening.” But the DWTS road doesn’t end here for Chiles. She can still aim for a perfect score before the finale. But what do you think of her performance of ‘River Deep – Mountain High’?
