“Never in one place too long,” Simone Biles wrote this way back in April of this year while uploading snaps of a scenic view featuring the sun as a small, glowing red dot on the horizon. She signed off with a casual snap of her feet, white socks, and sneakers, resting quietly under the gentle, moody light. It’s a story from April that remained true in the months that followed. Just a month back, the gymnast was enjoying a vacation with her husband, Jonathan Owens. With the NFL season about to kick off, Owens had to return, and so did Biles to attend the ESPYs. But now that Owens goes into the training camp, Biles is back on vacation.
This time around, the Olympian is 2,000 miles away from Texas to the British Virgin Islands for a girls-and-yacht getaway aboard the sleek Tanna 47. She posted gorgeous coastal snapshots and views from the deck and interiors, toasted iced drinks with her squad, including ex-volleyball pro Torrie Brown, and simply captioned it “home for the week 😍😍😍,” all set to the sounds of crashing waves and carefree island vibes. Now what’s the update from the Caribbean?
Biles started the update streak 12 hours ago with a serene view of a sunset on her Instagram story. It showed her playing with circular cards, which were the Spot It cards, a fast-paced card game where each card has 8 symbols, and any two cards always share exactly one symbol. Players race to spot and name the matching icon first to win the pair. Next, she shared pictures from the Tanna 47 for the night with her travel girlies, Torrie Brown and Ocius. Think that’s it? You’re mistaken.

“back in virgin gorda for a lil razzle dazzle,” wrote the 28-year-old in another story, posting a picture of the ocean from the yacht with a plate of scrambled eggs and toasted bread. Back in Belize, she had flaunted a swimsuit from Fendi, and now, she donned it again. However, this time it fell more on the lines of twinning, as she captioned, “matchy matchy,” with her friend donning the same. With the ocean once again in the backdrop, she posted two hands holding engraved shot cups labeled “N” and “S.” Quite the view for some liquor! And then she celebrated Christmas in July.

Yes, you heard that right, because “christmas in July party” read another one of her stories. This was followed by a bright yellow travel tumbler labeled “XMAS in JULY 2025” against a lively backdrop of beachgoers at the Pond Bay event in Virgin Gorda, BVI. Then she ended up with a picture of multiple people that was captioned, “people we met on our first day in the bvi. turned friends!!” Christmas in July is an annual event in the BVI where boaters from Puerto Rico and other nearby areas unite on the islands for a week of festivities. It is a tradition that started in 2007 and has grown to attract thousands of visitors each year.
While her vacation screams goals, fans can’t help but notice Owens’ absence.

Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles are long-distance again
The sad thing about Simone Biles‘ recent travel to the Caribbean is that her husband, Jonathan Owens, could not accompany her. This is because the NFL season is about to start. The 2025 NFL preseason will officially kick off on Thursday, August 7, and Jonathan Owens’ team, the Chicago Bears, will play their first preseason game on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Soldier Field against the Miami Dolphins. Owens had already made a post captioned, “Almost that time ⏳” sharing training pictures. His high school had also remembered him.
On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the Chicago Bears’ mandatory training camp started. Under new head coach Ben Johnson, the Bears are preparing for a return to relevancy with important practices and meetings at Halas Hall. Therefore, Biles had to leave for the Caribbean without her husband. Though there are speculations that she will be back in Chicago soon, and will be cheering for Owens when he steps onto the field. What are your thoughts?
