And today, this Algerian star is in the US, meeting the same people, she once competed against.

This week, Inside Gymnastics Magazine took to their official Instagram handle to post a picture of Kaylia Nemour with the very mother of the greatest gymnast of all time. They captioned the post, “🫶🫶🫶 Olympic gold medalist Kaylia Nemour, who recently appeared on the cover of Inside Gymnastics magazine, has been visiting World Champions Centre in Texas and sharing snaps along the way. This morning she posted a picture with Nellie Biles, Simone Biles’s mother, and commented on the great hospitality she’s receiving. You love to see it!

Kaylia Nemour graced the cover of Inside Gymnastics in the April 2025 issue. Her stunning feature, titled “Heart of Gold! Kaylia Nemour Soaring in 2025”, celebrated her Olympic triumph and the powerful journey she’s embarked on since topping the Paris 2024 podium. The magazine posted the picture of the gymnast donning a blue leotard and standing beside Nellie Biles, where the overlay text read her words, “This morning, I met Simone’s mother. What an honor to be welcomed so warmly, with such kindness, respect, and a big smile that truly touched me.

But love from the Biles is not new to the Olympic gold medalist. She might have been a competitor to Simone Biles as a gymnast, but she was not the enemy. Further cementing why she is the greatest gymnast of all time, Biles offered encouragement and advice to the youngster.

At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Kaylia Nemour not only made history but also found strength in the most legendary of supporters—Simone Biles. In an exclusive with Olympics.com, Nemour shared how Biles, a 7-time Olympic gold medalist, was her quiet force behind the scenes. At the electric Bercy Arena, Biles gave pep talks before every skill. “Before each move, she’d say to me, ‘You can do it, let’s go!’” she said.

Even though Nemour finished fifth in the all-around, she had her fun. Not only behind the scenes, Simone was cheering for Nemour even during the uneven bars final as well. The Olympian said, “She’d encourage me during and as soon as I’d finished, she’d give me a check and say ‘good job’. Frankly, the all-around was a great experience with all the great gymnasts, and I really enjoyed myself.”
