Simone Biles, the gift-giver, is underrated. When asked about her favorite gift from husband Jonathan Owens, she said that it was the weekly flowers that the NFL brought her, but what does she think was the best gift from her side? “I wouldn’t even say the best gift I’ve ever gotten him, because obviously that’d be me. Okay. But I feel like his favorite, and one that he’s been wanting for so long, was a Rolex,” she said. The Olympic gold medalist does not sit back on gifting if she connects with you. She gifted her niece, Ronni Loise Biles, a Dior white onesie, adorned with delicate floral patterns. And now, while she is troubled with the Riley Gaines Feud, she has not given up on it. What did she have for her coach?

Simone Biles is back at it again. Her former coach, Cecile Canqueteau-Landi, took to her Instagram story on June 18, 2025, to show off a luxurious gift sent by the most decorated gymnast of all time. What was it? A Eberjey x Casa Del Sol gift box, inside which is a note by the G.O.A.T. of gymnastics herself, which read, “excited to share the collaboration with you & hope you enjoy your my favorite PJs and Tequilla xx – Simone.

And below this note, folded very elegantly, is perhaps a long or short PJs set. According to Eberjey.com, “This limited edition collection pairs Eberjey’s signature softness and timeless silhouettes with Casa del Sol’s bold prints and vibrant hues, creating a refined balance of comfort and style.” The two companies have collaborated to integrate their aesthetics into each other’s products.

Inside that very same gift box, to the left of the handwritten note and PJs set, is a very neatly and carefully tucked premium bottle of  Casa del Sol Reposado Tequila, priced at $69.99. But this is not the first time that Biles has gifted liquor to a friend, and neither is this the first time that Casa del Sol has been her choice. Back in 2023, when Jonathan Owens’ friend Preston Demarquis Smith turned 31 on November 17th, Biles and Owens gifted him a bottle of Casa Del Sol, priced at $74.

All of this comes right after the Riley Gaines Feud. The feud has brought much heat upon the gymnast. The past few days have seen Biles express her opinion on X, express her apology, and on top of all that, she has been called a bully by her former Olympic teammate, MyKayla Skinner. Let’s take a look at what unfolded in this.

Simone Biles – Riley Gaines Feud

It began when Riley Gaines, a former NCAA swimmer turned conservative activist, took to X to criticize a Minnesota High school softball team that won the 2025 Class AAAA state title on June 6, for having a trans athlete in their midst. The post went viral among anti-trans voices, drawing widespread criticism. Simone Biles, however, jumped to said athlete’s defence, calling Gaines a “sore loser,” and triggering a full-scale public feud in the process.

Gaines, in turn, responded by criticizing Biles’ comments and reiterating her stance against the inclusion of trans women in women’s sports. Finally, on June 10, Biles shared a calmer message on X, apologizing for having gotten “personal” and emphasizing that she supports “competitive equity & inclusivity” while urging empathy and respect, particularly for minors.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Simone Biles' gift-giving a sign of genuine friendship or a strategic PR move?

Have an interesting take?

And while Gaines went on to accept Biles’ apology, she stuck to her stance on the debate. Gaines then revealed she was 26 weeks pregnant during a Turning Point USA event, using the announcement to reinforce her position and subtly reference Biles’ earlier remarks. Meanwhile, Biles’ husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, showed his support by sharing her apology. What are your thoughts on this?
