The NFL safety had just signed with the Chicago Bears, but he missed the training camp. Why? Because he flew to France to support his wife. And now, as he marks an achievement, Biles is the one celebrating.

Wondering what’s that all about? The gymnast was celebrating. Chicago Bears Jersey number 36, Simone Biles’ husband, Jonathan Owens, has made the team’s official 53-man roster for the 2025 NFL season.

In another story she wrote, “we celebrate everything in this household okaaaayy the little things & the big ones.” And the picture she attached alongside? That would have made football fans hungry.

The picture had cupcakes, each decorated with cream cheese-style frosting and fun toppers. The best part? The toppers were football-shaped and mini foam fingers that say “#1″.

Owens is listed as one of the four safeties on the active roster alongside Jaquan Brisker, Kevin Byard III, and Elijah Hicks. He was also a part of the Bears’ official 53-man roster for the 2024 season. Back then, too, his wife supported him like a fan. She showed up at games in custom outfits featuring Owens’ name and number. Once she donned a varsity jacket and another time a patchwork sweatsuit with his face on it.

And now, as the 2025 pre-season has already started, she has been back at it. She walked the field to greet her husband on August 10 at Soldier Field as the Bears hosted the Dolphins. The two shared a kiss that quickly had fans swooning. Simone Biles documented the moment on Instagram, captioning it “I love youuuu🖤.” She had donned denim cutoff shorts, knee-high white boots, and a halter top with Owens shining on it with hearts. But now, for a while, it seems like she might not be by his side.

Simone Biles is on a trip again

In one of her stories, Simone mentioned, “trips on trips on trips 🤍.”

In the picture she posted alongside, there was what looked like a pair of blue denim jeans and a folded red knit sweater. There was also a pair of metallic silver high-heeled shoes and, most importantly, a bright red baseball cap with the word “ATHLETA” embroidered in white letters. Athleta is a women’s performance activewear and lifestyle brand that partnered with the gymnast in April 2021. But where is Simone headed?

Well, she went horse riding first. The gymnast uploaded a picture of stable writing, “another day, another horseback riding lesson,” and next was a picture of her wearing boots and the Hind legs of a horse, captioned with a black heart. Before this, she was snapped with horses just three days after she celebrated her 28th birthday. Biles posted a photo of herself holding hands with her husband, Jonathan Owens, as they rode horses in the ocean.

Today, as well, she posted a video of her riding a horse, but the video was zoomed out. She captioned, “being told to flex my feet feels criminal.” Then came the shot from an airplane window, just a clear blue sky stretching endlessly above, with a soft layer of clouds far below. Her announcement?

“off to NYC.” Yep, New York City is her new destination. And we can’t wait to watch her style in the city that never sleeps…
