Simone Biles Enjoys Her New Sport After Big Changes In $3M Texas Mansion

Simone Biles has not gone back to gymnastics since Paris. Having skipped the US Classic and the Xfinity championships, she has nothing lined up for 2025 as well. The closest we have got to her back on the apparatus is that statement that, “If I’m not on the floor, I definitely will be in and around it, and you guys will see me in L.A., but to what capacity I’m not sure.” Now, while the longing to see her back as a gymnast continues, she is trying a new sport.

“IM BACCCKKKKK” read Simone Biles’ story today. In the background of it, you could see a horse. The 7x Olympic gold medalist was in a stable, trying out a new sport: Horse riding. In her next story, you could see the 28-year-old holding the lead rope of a brown pony. The two seemed to have a good time together in the green meadow, as she captioned it, “🤍🤍🤍🤍”. Do we see her riding the horse, though? We got a hint that she did.

Following up on the previous two stories, her third story was shot of her petting the pony’s face. It had a blue saddle pad and brown saddle, while Simone Biles herself had donned a blue helmet and black riding boots. “me 🤝 pony,” she captioned. Well, remember her horse riding updates in the last week of August?.

She shared a picture of a stable on her story with the caption, “another day, another horseback riding lesson.” It was followed by a shot showing her boots alongside a horse’s hind legs, captioned with a black heart. She also uploaded a video of herself on horseback, filmed from a zoomed-out angle, with the playful caption, “being told to flex my feet feels criminal.”

And even before that, she was snapped with horses just three days after she celebrated her 28th birthday. Biles posted a photo of herself holding hands with her husband, Jonathan Owens, as they rode horses in the ocean.

However, this is not the only change going around in her life. Her $3 million house is seeing some changes, too.

Taking to her story on September 1, Simone wrote, “making some minor aesthetic adjustments.” In the picture attached, one could see light-wooden shelves built into the wall, while a statement light fixture hung from the ceiling. Following this up was another story that showed an accent wall featuring the same wood detailing, with long panels extending toward a door that appears to open outside.

In another story, she made it clear that these changes were no minor ones with the words “& by minor I meannnnn…”And attached was a picture where it looked like the cabinetry was being replaced. The space looked like still under construction, with wires hanging from the walls and ceiling, and wooden boards laid across the floor.

The house has been under construction since September 2023, four months after their marriage. Biles captioned a post, “Loading… 🏠🤍🛠,” as she included a photo of herself sitting on the stairs in the bare bones property, as Owens walked through the space. That was her announcement. From wet bar, a game room, a home theater, a pet spa, to multiple balconies overlooking the water – this home will probably be a reflection of Simone Biles – the fashion icon! And her favourite view in the house?

In October 2023, she shared a story: “This is my favorite view,” over a picture of large glass sliding doors that opened out to a back patio area. Beyond that, a calm lake reflected the light, and across it, green trees glowed golden in the sun. But there are so many things that we cannot ignore from the home!

Freestanding soaking tub along with smart mirrors with integrated LED lights gave their primary bathroom a spa-like setup, making Owens react “dope!” And Biles’ and Owens’ love for marbles was inevitable, as we saw their kitchen boasting a high-contrast stone for the countertop and backsplash. This brick by brick setup did make Simone Biles emotional as she shared in Simone Biles Rising, “Last time you guys saw it, it was just bones and a structure.” But there came some disappointments later, too.

“We were supposed to be in before the Olympics, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the case,” she said in an interview in May. “So we’re just waiting for the weather to die down. We’re just… we’ll see.” But now, having a “good collab” with her husband, it seems, the move will happen soon…
