On October 1, 2025, IShowSpeed, aka Darren Jason Watkins Jr., hosted the premiere of his latest project, Speed Goes Pro! A YouTube series following IShowSpeed as he trains with world-class athletes and coaches in different sports, each episode building to a showdown against a legendary pro. Suni Lee and Love Island fame, Jeremiah Brown, were also in attendance. Interestingly, Brown left the gymnast dazed and confused.

In that, fans can see Lee donning a red outfit and being approached by Brown, who has his hand out for a handshake.

As she goes on to shake his hand, Jeremiah Brown pulls it back and starts dancing and tricking around like Turkish ice cream vendors. Lee first stared at the dance for a second and then looked to her right, which looked awkward.

The gymnastics community was not nice to Brown after this. Things went so badly that even Brown had to mark his presence in the post’s comment section. His words read, “We are literally friends are y’all okay 😭😭😭“. There was another comment from a fan who said that the comment section did not pass the vibe check. The Love Island star replied to one of the users, “They’re tearing u uppp I’m dead “who does he think he is” 😭😭.”

For those who don’t know, Brown is a model and reality TV personality who gained attention as a contestant on Season 7 of Love Island USA, which aired in 2025. He entered the villa on Day 1 and was eliminated on Day 16.

Before joining Love Island, Jeremiah had a successful modeling career in Los Angeles. He has worked with notable brands such as Adidas, True Religion, and Playboy. Going back to his actions at the premiere, he sure might have been joking with Suni Lee, but the awkwardness and discomfort were quite evident from her face. Lee is also a part of one of the episodes of the series, and interestingly, she was also afraid when Speed talked to her.

IShowSpeed was streaming from the premiere when he met Suni Lee. Upon meeting, they shared a side hug. “That’s Suni Lee. It’s part of one of the episodes coming out. This is so scary,” Speed introduced the gymnast. At first, she waved at the camera, but then she moved out of the frame, saying, “This is so scary.” Why? Upon asking, she told the streamer that she had never streamed before.

“What are you so scared for? But you’ve seen a lot of people watching before. It’s fine,” he said, and there were no lies there. Lee was part of the Olympic team that went to Tokyo and Paris. She won all-around gold and uneven bars bronze at the 2021 Olympics, helping Team USA to gold.

Performing in front of massive audiences, the 2024 Olympics earned all-around and uneven bars bronze, while finishing sixth on balance beam. She had an amazing NCAA career at Auburn, earning multiple All-America honors, perfect 10s, and a balance beam national title before stepping back due to a kidney condition. All of that in packed arenas.

All in all, it was an interesting meetup at the IShowspeed event, which promises engaging content as it rolls in the coming weeks.
