Call it wanderlust or getting bitten by the travel bug, Simone Biles is definitely on a vacation binge. After a trip to Belize earlier, followed by a girls’ trip to Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands, the Olympic legend has now landed nearly 7,500 miles away in Australia. “God forbid a girl uses her passport,” Biles wrote during her trip to Virgin Gorda, and it seems like she’s not slowing down.

With Jonathan Owens busy with the NFL season, the seven-time Olympic medalist traveled to Australia with his sister, Adria Biles. The 28-year-old’s Instagram stories have been a super busy place lately, as that’s where she shares updates of her “Twin Travels” to the land down under. Unfortunately, sometimes even the best vacations have blunders, and this one is no different.

Biles’ excitement to visit the Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park in Doonside, Australia, hit a damper while visiting the reptiles section. Featherdale is one of those places that lets the visitors interact directly with some animals, and that turned out to be disastrous for Simone Biles. “Lizard poops on me,” Biles wrote in her Instagram story while uploading the clip of the incident.

The unfortunate incident with the reptile happened when she was handling the animal under the supervision of the caretaker. Needless to say, that was not the experience the gymnast was looking for. In fact, Biles was ready to throw away more than just the jet-black coat she was wearing. “Throw the whole fit away. Is this a sign of luck?” Biles wrote in the closed captions of her story.

Thankfully, Simone Biles’ “to see kangaroos and koalas” didn’t stop. Biles interacted with koalas, wombats, penguins, and many more animals, and even earned the rare opportunity to feed a baby kangaroo at the wildlife park. And guess what? She wore the same outfit in all those stories, so there’s a good chance the Olympian won’t be throwing out the entire fit after all. And talking about fits, Bles debuted one with a cheeky Olympic reference.

Simone Biles keeps the iconic slogan alive

Unofficial names have always been part of Team USA gymnastics. It was the ‘Fierce Five’ during London 2012, while Simone Biles was part of the ‘Final Five’ in her debut Olympics in 2016. However, things got controversial after former Olympic medalist and Biles’ USA teammate MyKayla Skinner made some unusual remarks after the girls qualified for Paris 2024.

Skinner drew a comparison that didn’t really sit well with either fans or the athletes. Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be,” Skinner said. Naturally, that felt like an uncalled-for jibe at the younger gymnasts like Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee, and then-16-year-old Hezly Rivera. However, besides the controversy, it had another effect.

Skinner’s words inspired the 2024 Paris Olympics unofficial team name for the USA women. When former gold medalist Aly Raisman asked Biles if the moniker “FAAFO” stood for “F— around and find out,” Biles agreed. Now, a year after Team USA and the young talent demolished MyKayla Skinner’s cynicism at the Olympics, Biles referenced it in her outfit.

Early this week, Simone Biles posted an image of a green shirt with ‘FAAFO’ embroidered on its pocket. Iykyk (If you know, you know),” Biles wrote in the closed captions, reminding fans of the incident that inspired the name and inspired them to prove all the doubters wrong. That being said, with Biles taking another break and enjoying her vacation binge, it’s unlikely she’ll return to gymnastics anytime soon.
