Usain Bolt has been making his presence felt in the music industry lately through collaborations and featuring in videos. The former track star is trying his hand in the world of music production and is slowly beginning to use his influence to build it up.

Recently, he collaborated with NJ to release “It’s a Party”, which immediately made an impact on the charts. In fact, last week the song peaked at #3 and #2 in the Apple Music UK and France Reggae charts respectively.

The song features Bolt doing what he does best (apart from running) and has a very relaxing yet energetic vibe to it. This marked the most successful track in the former Olympian’s records yet, and there is surely more where that came from.

Even though the song did make its impact, Usain Bolt wants it to go further. In a recent video shared on his social media handles, the eight-time Olympics gold medallist asked fans to support him for longer so that he can make a total debut in the music industry.

Usain Bolt has had significant success in music production

Since his retirement in 2017, Bolt has been in and out of several experiences. He spent time as a professional footballer, although that was a shadow of the glory he achieved on the tracks. The Jamaican has since decided to test his skills in music and has been moving smartly into the industry.

Contrary to popular belief, Bolt did not try out his vocals and left that to NJ. Instead, he focused on the production aspect and featured in the music video. His name and influence from an illustrious career drew thousands of viewers and fans are excited to see what’s next.

The 100m and 200m world record holder aims to be in elite company in the future. Ahead of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, he revealed that he wanted to collaborate with Jay Z, Drake, and DJ Khaled someday. He also wants to take his tracks from the local charts to an international base.
