“I Have Officially Made It in Life”- USA’s Grant Holloway Reacts to Being Featured in LeBron James’ Story
Grant Holloway managed to win silver in the 110m hurdles race last week, competing in his first-ever Olympic Games with a medal. However, the American was highly expected to win Gold, having dominated the race for the past two years.
The 60m Hurdles world record holder was beaten to the punch by Hansle Parchment of Jamaica, who pulled off the upset with a timing of 13.04 seconds as opposed to Holloway’s 13.09. This shocking result did not affect Holloway much, and he seemed content with what he had achieved.
Returning from the tracks, the American found out that Basketball legend LeBron James had mentioned him in his Instagram story. James shared a video of the hurdler’s dead focus while attempting the race. The motion was so steady that the head was at the same level the entire video as the rest of Holloway’s body moved over the hurdles.

I was told @KingJames reposted me on his story. I have officially made it in life.

Team USA has had a rough patch in the Tokyo Olympics so far. The Nation’s impressive track team has failed to win the gold medal in any of the men’s events, despite having the best athletes. Noah Lyles, Trayvon Bromell, and now Grant Holloway have all disappointed in the finals despite being the fastest men this year in their disciplines.
However, as a relatively young set of athletes, they have learned from these Games and will surely come in much more experiences in Paris 2024, which is just 3 years away. Holloway admitted that his nerves got the better of him in the finals which is why he lost out to Handle Parchment.
