Since the 2004 Athens Olympics, Allyson Felix has been raising the American flag at the mega-event. Felix is the most decorated US athlete with 11 Olympic medals.
Though Allyson looks flawless in her stride when she’s on the track, her journey has been full of bumps.?Nevertheless, Felix is an unstoppable force and has beaten all the odds to compete for decades.

Allyson Felix had a tough path to Tokyo Olympics 2020
Two years after her stellar run at the 2016 Rio Olympics, Felix became a mother. While many thought she would take a break or retire from her Olympic career, Felix proved everyone wrong. Although she herself too had doubts about her returning.?While she has been an advocate of maternity protection, getting back on track after giving birth was not a cakewalk.
Currently, the world-class athletes have been competing at the Diamonds League meet. At the press conference of the meet, Felix opened up about her self doubts to reach the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Talking about her skeptical thoughts, Felix said, “Yeah I mean that was always the goal, but I knew I had a lot of things to get over to be able to get to that point. There were some places where I felt doubtful I wasn’t sure if I was ever gonna get back to that form. But I had glimpses telling me it was there”

Notably, she successfully clinched two medals at the mega-event. She grabbed the gold and a bronze medal in the track and field events.
Allyson defeated Carl Lewis to became the American star in track and field
The stunning journey of Allyson Felix started at the Athens Olympics 2004. Felix clinched the silver medal at her maiden Olympics in the 200m race.

Her performance graph went upwards as she grabbed two medals at the Beijing Olympics 2008. The American athlete bagged her first-ever Olympic gold that year. Likewise, in London Olympics 2012, she won three record-breaking gold medals.

At the Rio Olympics 2016, Felix maintained her dominance by grabbing three medals. Being the reigning champion years after years in a physical sport is challenging, but Felix makes it look effortless on the field.
