Two years after her stellar run at the 2016 Rio Olympics, Felix became a mother. While many thought she would take a break or retire from her Olympic career, Felix proved everyone wrong. Although she herself too had doubts about her returning. While she has been an advocate of maternity protection, getting back on track after giving birth was not a cakewalk.

Currently, the world-class athletes have been competing at the Diamonds League meet. At the press conference of the meet, Felix opened up about her self doubts to reach the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Talking about her skeptical thoughts, Felix said, “Yeah I mean that was always the goal, but I knew I had a lot of things to get over to be able to get to that point. There were some places where I felt doubtful I wasn’t sure if I was ever gonna get back to that form. But I had glimpses telling me it was there”

Notably, she successfully clinched two medals at the mega-event. She grabbed the gold and a bronze medal in the track and field events.
