Team USA thanks Paralympics athletes for bringing home medals

Winning a medal at the Paralympics is a special moment for the athletes. Team USA has been performing stunningly at the mega-event. Hence, the team USA sent their winning athletes a heart-warming message. What’s even more heart-touching for athletes is the consideration for visually impaired Paralympians.

Special Braile notes were stuck outside their rooms. This helped the athletes to read and feel the message on their own, rather than someone else reading to them.

Long jumper Lex Gillette, who is visually impaired, read the message sent to him in braille. The message sent was, “The United States Olympic and Paralympic committee congratulate you on your medal! Thank you for being a part of Team USA here in Tokyo- Team USA“.

Lex Gillette clinched the silver medal in the men’s long jump T11, track, and field event. Notably, Lex has been consistently winning since the Athens Olympics 2004. Since 2004, he has always won the silver medal in the event.
