The USWNT will look to capture the Olympics gold for the fifth time in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The event will start on 21st July as the United States Women’s National Team take on Sweden in the first match. Alex Morgan, a star striker, will play a pivotal role in a team of many superstars.

Apart from Morgan, there are many superstars at USWNT’s disposal. The likes of Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd, Sam Mewis, and more are all expected to play important roles during the event. Morgan is a primary force of the team’s attacking department. Her form will be a deciding factor behind the team’s success.

Morgan currently plays for the Orlando Pride at the club level. She previously had a stint at the club from 2017 to 2020. After a brief stay at Tottenham Hotspur, the star striker is back at the club for a second time. She has also played for clubs like Olympique Lyon before.

Morgan has scored over 100 goals for her country. She has been representing the national team for over a decade now. The 32-year-old has also previously co-captained the team.

Morgan has already won the FIFA Women’s world cup twice with her national team. Triumphs in 2015 and 2019 have been justice to her talent and contributions to the national team.
