Jessica Springsteen broke the internet when she qualified for the Tokyo Olympics 2021. The show jumper will represent the United States at the Olympics, making her one of the few celebrity athletes at the Games. But how much do we know about the love life of Bruce Springsteen’s daughter?

Springsteen is in a relationship with Lorenzo de Luca, an Italian show jumper. They’ve been in a relationship since June 2018 after she split with Argentinian polo player Nic Roldan. Not only is Lorenzo a show jumper, his backstory is quite interesting.
At 9, Lorenzo received his first horse after his father gained it as compensation for construction work. He began competing in competitions at 11 and showcased his natural talent. With financial stability as his ultimate gain, he pushed forward and broke into the international equestrian field.
He’s the only Italian jumper to compete in the Rolex?IJRC Top Ten, and he’s picked up wins at the Rolex Rome Grand Prix and got a seventh individual place at the WEG in Tryon. However, his career slowed down significantly since the emergence of the pandemic.
He and Jessica have appeared publicly many times, the most high profile being alongside Bruce Springsteen. Daily Mail UK spotted Jessica and Lorenzo getting comfortable right beside her legendary father, creating a visual the Boss will never forget. With the pandemic slowly dying out, we might see Lorenzo in the stands cheering his heart out for his girlfriend.
US show jumping team
Aside Springsteen, the US show jumping team features some of the best athletes in the field. Three former Olympic medalists complete the star-studded team who are the outright favorites to win gold at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
Kent Farrington won silver at the Rio Olympics 2016 and is a former World Champion and Pan American Champion. Alongside him is Laura Kraut, a gold medalist in the team jumping event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She too is a former World Champion and trained Jessica Springsteen in 2015.
Finally, the team’s most decorated performer is McLain Ward. Winning gold at the Athens Olympics 2006 and the Beijing Olympics, he’s the veteran in this squad. He also has a silver medal to his name, which he picked up alongside Farrington in Rio. With Beezie Madden withdrawing her name, Ward will have to lead this squad and gun for gold at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
