It’s really not about my dad.” Mya Lesnar takes immense pride in the fact that she is Brock Lesnar’s daughter. There’s no second thought there. But this chapter belongs to her. And she’s clearly owning it. Last month, she picked up her fourth straight Mountain West shot put title after an incredible throw. This month, she’s made more history, while Papa Lesnar broke character to come support her.

This week, the NCAA indoor shot put champ, Mya Lesnar, had a tall challenge ahead of her. The NCAA outdoor track and field championships were on, and this was her chance to make it a double after her win last year. And looking at how Mya Lesnar’s shot put form has been, it wasn’t looking difficult. Of late, she’d thrown a personal best of 64 feet, which would have been good enough for an Olympic bronze. And guess what? She did it this week, too! But it’s knowing who had come to support her that made the win even more special.

Mya Lesnar was competing at the NCAA Track and Field National championships, and she threw a mammoth 19.01m throw to register her second NCAA title win in the women’s shot put. Only 3 women crossed the 60 feet mark in the event, but Mya was at the top, with none matching up to her. And while she did that, Brock Lesnar was right in the stands to support her. Yes, the man who has kept his appearances in the public eye close to none lately stepped out to watch his daughter, and that’s the purest form of a father’s love you’ll see today.

Well, this isn’t the first time that Mya’s family has come out to support her. When she won the Mountain West title in May 2025, her entire family was there, even her dog and that made her emotional. However, Brock Lesnar wasn’t spotted in the crowd back then. But there was a time when he was spotted up close, hugging her, back in February 2024, at a shot put event, where Mya took the win after a 19.7m throw! That image of the father-daughter duo had quickly started making rounds on the internet.

But this NCAA title wasn’t just any other win. This happens to be Colorado State’s first NCAA title in 20 years, courtesy of Brock Lesnar’s daughter, Mya, who looked in great shape from the start. Out of her three attempts, she fired a 60-feet-plus throw in her first chance itself and took a commanding lead. Nobody could catch up on this, and the result went in her favour! But there’s someone else who has played an integral role in her title win and that’s her coach, who hired her after Brock gave him a call!

 Brock Lesnar approached coach Bedard

Mya Lesnar’s coach, Brian Bedard recently made a confession about Brock Lesnar. He said, “I didn’t recruit Mya out of high school. I was asleep at the wheel,” and that’s when his phone chimed with a voicemail from “this guy named Brock.”

What did that voicemail contain? It sounded as follows, “This is Brock Lesnar, and my daughter’s a pretty good thrower out of Minnesota…” This is when Bedard got to thinking, “I don’t know who the Brock is. I don’t follow WWE.” But when they played that in Colorado State’s office, a man recognized Brock Lesnar. And that was how their visit was finally planned.

So yes, Brock Lesnar may be missing in action from the WWE ring, but he has a very active presence in his daughter’s sports career. What do you think of this? Let us know below!
