She might have gotten the name, but she is building a legacy of her own. Brock Lesnar’s daughter, Mya Lesnar, has proved that her journey is not about living under a shadow. And her win at the upcoming finals would cement this fact further. Ahead of the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Mya has already set the tone for her performance. Her latest message says all about her confidence. And let’s just say, she didn’t hold back!

Now, for her, the stakes rise higher with each passing victory. Lesnar was one of fifteen Colorado State athletes who competed at the NCAA West Regional meet from May 28–31, where the top 12 finishers in each event would punch their ticket to the national stage. Out of 48 elite contenders per event, Mya proved once again that she belongs among the best. Securing her spot in the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, set for June 11–14 in Eugene, Oregon. With a chance to add outdoor gold to her growing resume, the shot put circle in Eugene could be the place where Mya Lesnar’s NCAA legacy hits its next milestone.

This week, Mya Lesnar took to her Instagram stories, reposting a celebratory graphic from Colorado State Track & Field XC that read, “Handled her business 💼 Mya finishes top of the field to punch her ticket to the @ncaatrackfield Championships 🐏.” On top of that post, Mya added her own message, “See you in Eugene 😈”. A not-so-subtle nod to her competitive fire and confidence heading into the national finals. The visual showed her mid-throw, locked in and dominant, with a bold “Ticket Punched” banner stamped across the bottom. Officially signaled her qualification for the NCAA Championships. Mya enters Eugene not as a hopeful underdog, but as the No. 1-ranked shot putter in the nation.

Mya Lesnar’s confidence here is justified well enough. She certainly has the numbers for it. At the Mountain West Conference outdoor championship, she launched the shot a staggering 18.61 meters, securing her fourth consecutive conference title of the season. It was a thunderous reminder of her dominance. But don’t mistake it for a sudden breakout. This level of excellence has been brewing for over a year. In March 2024, Mya captured the NCAA Division I Indoor National Championship with a winning throw of 18.20 meters. And even before that, she’d already shattered expectations.

At the Mines Alumni Classic in December 2023, she broke the Colorado State women’s shot put record with an enormous 18.50-meter throw. That record demolished the previous mark of 17.55 meters and firmly established Mya as a force to be reckoned with. The daughter of WWE icon Brock Lesnar is proving that dominance runs in the family

Mya Lesnar is closing out her collegiate career with a legacy worthy of her name. One built on raw power, relentless discipline, and a competitive fire all her own. A standout in shot put, hammer throw, and discus, Mya has spent her years at Colorado State University turning potential into dominance. Her most recent triumph? A jaw-dropping 19.60-meter (64 feet 3.75 inches) shot put throw at the Jack Christiansen Track, which not only secured her fourth straight Mountain West Conference outdoor title but also set a new facility record. Known for his rare public appearances, the WWE and UFC icon showed up in Clovis, California, looking nearly unrecognizable. His signature beard gone, his blond hair let loose. Despite his global fame, Mya sees Brock less as a legend and more as a source of steady support. “He’s one of my biggest supporters,” she once said, shedding light on the father-daughter bond that keeps her grounded. Mya has been open about stepping out of his shadow, intent on building her own identity. And Brock’s advice, post-NCAA title? Classic Lesnar. Celebrate, then put it on the side. A message of humility from a man known for commanding every arena he’s entered.

But make no mistake! Mya is fast becoming a force in her own right. She was recently named the 2024 Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year and honored as the Sportswomen of Colorado’s Track Athlete of the Year, recognition that further cements her place among the sport’s elite. Now, with graduation around the corner and her ticket to the NCAA Championships punched, all eyes are on whether Mya Lesnar can cap off her final collegiate season with her first NCAA outdoor title. With her form peaking, records falling, and her inner circle cheering her on, the runway is clear for liftoff.
