April 4 – the day when Michael Johnson’s brainchild came to life. Grand Slam Track had begun its run in Kingston, and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone was in there to dominate. As the 400m hurdles debuted in the tracks of Grand Slam Track, the Olympian also marked her 2025 season debut. She clocked a time of 52.76 seconds, prevailing by 1.83 seconds over Dalilah Muhammad. Next for her was the 400m, where, to no surprise, she once again dominated by clocking a time of 50.32 seconds. Result: she walked home with a hundred thousand dollars in her pocket. Now, with the Miami GST already concluding, how could the Paris Olympic gold medalist let it go without a record?

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone has already been so dominating in the Grand Slam Track, the athlete is yet to be defeated in the championship. It was only a matter of time before she also started breaking records here. The Olympian took to lane number 5 in the Ansin Sports Complex on May 4th to race in the 400 meters in the Miami Grand Slam Track. Visible from a distance in her classic yellow and black bodysuit, the athlete slowly picked up speed and led in the race. With only 100 meters to go in the race, the Olympian took the lead, and “it’s going to be Sydney to take it,” announced the commentator as she ran through the ribbon.

She clocked a time of 49.69 seconds, not her best but another one of her sub-50 runs. NBC Sports and Citius Mag contributor Owen Corbett took to X to announce her special feat. He wrote, “Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone has run the flat 400m 9 times in the last 3 years. 8 of those 9 have been sub-50.” She clocked a season best of 48.75 in 2024 and 48.74 in 2023. Clocking another sub-50 in 2025 has her fans saying, “I think it’s fair comment to say that Sydney McLaughlin Levrone is the best female sportsperson on the planet.” Not only that, with this win, she becomes the only woman athlete to have fun two grand slams as of now and walk away with 200k dollars.

Anna Hall finished second with 51.68, and a 51.80 granted third position to Andrenette Knight. A day earlier, she once again stepped into her favorite, 400m hurdles, and well, well, well, what do you expect? No brainer, as the woman once again repeated the cycle of ready-set-go-win. She marked a 52.07 on the clock while Knight finished second with a time of 54.08 seconds.

The current world record holder for 400mH has achieved some amazing feats at the Grand Slam track. Being undefeated, winning 200k is no joke. And not only does this make her money, but it also brings a lot of smiles to her fans’ faces. What are they saying?

Fans can’t help but smile at Sydney’s achievement

While many of the fans are impressed by the performances Sydney has been putting out on the track, this one fan is gushing over something else as well. Going all caps on X, he tweeted, “SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO BE REALLY FAST AND REALLY PRETTY SYDNEY MCLAUGHLIN-LEVRONE WHAT IN THE WORLD“. McLaughlin’s 50.37 run in the Paris Olympics made her the fastest in the 400-meter hurdles. And if the fan might want to look as magical as her, she does have a skin care routine. It includes Neutrogena Sport Active Defense Sunscreen and Hydro Boost Cleanser.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone the greatest female athlete of our time, or is there someone better?

Have an interesting take?

Another fan also took the social media platform to say, “It’s so easy to overlook just how fast Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is because she consistently gets crazy times. The fact that she is jumping over hurdles and doing sub-50 is literally insane. I don’t ever want to be numb to these numbers!” Sydney McLaughlin Lerone has only run four races in 2025, all of which have been the ones at Grand Slam Track, where she is not only juggling between 400m hurdles and 400 meters but also winning them with amazing times.

You have got to agree with this fan who says, “Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is one of one.” While not to put too much to praise, maybe there is only one Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, I mean, who else breaks the world record six times? It began at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials with a time of 51.90 seconds, followed by a 51.46-second finish at the Tokyo Olympics. In 2022, she further improved the record to 51.41 seconds at the U.S. Championships and then to 50.68 seconds at the World Championships.

Continuing her dominance, she clocked 50.65 seconds at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials and culminated with a staggering 50.37-second performance at the Paris Olympics. SHE HAS GOT TO CATCH A BREAK !!!! Looking at such stats, you must be like this fan as well, who said, “Lmao she’s untouchable. Why aren’t there any male 400 hurdlers that can double like this??” While this fan might not find the men’s hurdles just as not as competitive, there is a lot of heat in there as well. But as for now, do you think that Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will continue this dominance in the GST?
