The couple had a fair share of adversities to deal with on their way to success. The long jumper had to struggle with depression and body image issues, whereas Hunter Woodhall had to deal with bullying growing up. But now, they seem unstoppable and just like that, they have hit another major career milestone.
In a recent announcement, the Woodhalls took to their Instagram to drop big news. Both the track athletes have now been signed with NIKE! Clad in white and purple NIKE outfits, both Tara and Hunter looked quite chic, flaunting their athletic torsos. Meanwhile, the expression on their faces also told a tale as they seemed utterly happy to have landed the deal. “LA28 starts here” commented Hunter Woodhall, clearly emphasizing the long-term goals of the couple of which Nike shall play a huge role.
However, NIKE has not yet confirmed the details of the deal. But surely, joining the list of the coveted NIKE athletes would do them a world of good. Speaking about what innovations NIKE might bring to the sport, in an exclusive interview with Well And Good, Hunter stated that he flew to the NIKE headquarters to discuss plans with the innovation team. But to his surprise, the Paralympian saw that the team was already planning to incorporate advanced innovations for the betterment of the parasport.

Now, this will be music to Hunter’s ears. Right in his childhood, Hunter had his legs amputated. However, riding on pure resilience and determination, the Paralympic champion decided to opt for a prosthetic leg to become a world champion. Yet, he did have his problems. In the Para World Championships a couple of years back, Hunter was unable to take part. The reason? Well, a malfunctioning prosthetic. Thus, by teaming up with NIKE, the track sensation will find it easier to negate the complications with the help of advanced tech. Meanwhile, both Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis-Woodhall had a lot to say after being roped in by NIKE.
