Noah Lyles is busy planning the details of his Spring 2026 wedding with his fiancée, Junelle Bromfield. But amidst that, he’s taken some time out for a fashionable appearance at the MET Gala 2025. 4 years after his first one, not much changed, as Lyles was still his classy self, pulling off one of the most peculiar looks of the day. However, even with hundreds of cameras flashing right before him and the world of fashion at its best, his wedding seemed to sit unshakably at the back of his mind. Is the fastest man in the world getting the wedding jitters after all?

Noah Lyles showed up at the MET gala in a chic black suit with shorts and calf-length tube socks. He also went accessory-heavy with black framed spectacles and trendy finger rings. Like always, he exuded immense confidence on the red carpet. Now, you would think that he’d be replicating this same candor and confidence when it comes to his wedding day, too, right? Well… Although Noah Lyles has openly said that he would be ‘winging’ his vows on the big day, on the inside, he might be getting a little nervous. Don’t believe this? Hear what the man himself had to say!

Noah Lyles spoke to E! News at the Met Gala 2025. That’s when he was asked to pick which of the two mega events would be more nerve-wracking for him: the MET Gala 2025 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art or his wedding day with Junelle. In reply to this question, the Paris Olympics 100m champion said, “Probably the wedding aisle, for sure.” He then went on to explain, “This is my second Met, so I feel a little more comfortable. But my wedding, I might cry.” So yes, if Junelle’s keeping a track of this from 1148 miles away in Florida, she may have just been warned by Noah Lyles that he might tear up on their big day!

Quite interestingly, Noah Lyles still maintained that when it comes to the vows, he’s going to be quite confident and spontaneous, “To be honest, I don’t think that I can find the words written down. I think it’s just gonna have to happen in the moment, like everything else in life.” So what might make his emotions overflow? Is it the pressure, the nervousness, or simply the emotion of experiencing the biggest moment of his life with Junelle after years of dating?

On the other hand, Junelle Bromfield is likely to be under pressure too. Speaking of the vows themselves, she’d told The Knot, “I most definitely will not [be winging them]. I get nervous in big crowds, so I need to write my vows.” Well, of the two, it’s Noah Lyles who has a personality that appears more confident and blunt in general. So imagine, if he’s warning that the pressure might get to him, it’s not difficult to digest that Junelle gets nervous too. After all, their initial vision for the wedding details were vastly different as well…

However, to help Junelle feel more at home and honor her Jamaican heritage, the couple has planned to serve Jamaican cuisine on their wedding day.
