Meet Kyle Snyder: Wrestling’s young phenom

Having been born on 20th November 1995 in the little town of Woodbine, Maryland, Snyder was raised in a family where sports were basically in the veins. Wrestling was not a hobby for him; it was his calling. By high school, he had already impressed people with an out-of-his-mind 179-0 record over three seasons. That’s right, undefeated. The guy managed to get only one takedown throughout this stretch.

By his junior year, he was not only a local star, but he was also named the #1 high school wrestler in the entire country. Most kids would ride on that high through to senior year, but not Snyder. Instead, he did not wait and attended the U.S. Olympic Training Center, where he became a member of the international squad and won a junior world title in 2013.

At such a young age of 18, he was already in the red, white, and blue. Then there was Ohio State, and Snyder did not waste time in writing a new chapter at this campus either. As a freshman, he was part of a group that made the Buckeyes the first team to win the first National Collegiate Athletic Association championship. However, team accomplishment was not enough for him.
