Adriano Moraes is set to return to the ONE Circle after his monumental win against one of the greatest mixed martial artists ever, Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson. The Flyweight king will be fighting Yuya Wakamatsu at the 10-year anniversary show at ONE: X for ONE Flyweight World Title.
“Mikinho”, 19-3, not only defeated Johnson, but he was the first fighter to ever knock out ‘Mighty Mouse’. On the flip side, Wakamatsu lost to Johnson via Guillotine Choke in the second round. However, he bounced back after the loss to stack a five-fight winning streak inside the ONE Circle.

The Brazilian talked about his upcoming bout with the Japanese fighter and had some criticism for Wakamatsu’s performances.
When asked about the Tribe Tokyo MMA fighter calling him out for a year, Moraes said, “We already predicted this fight against Yuya Wakamatsu because he doesn’t take my name out of his mouth. He won some fights with ugly performances and in the end, he always asked for a title fight.”
“But he comes from good victories, and I believe he deserves to fight for the title. He’s a tough fighter. But come on, isn’t that what he wanted? Now, the time has come for him to get what he’s always asked for.”
