This will be on Friday, November 3, inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.?Standing in his way of the gold, though, will be promotional newcomer Magomed Abdulkadirov, who will be looking to shock the world by ending Ruotolo?s perfect run in ONE and claiming the biggest prize of his career in his debut.?

The stakes are huge for Tye Ruotolo

There is certainly a lot at stake for the American star, but he?s learned to handle the pressure through his four undefeated matches in the world?s largest martial arts organization. He is now an undeniable star in the world of submission grappling, who has contributed greatly to the growth of the sport.?

That said, every win brings higher expectations, and his next match is arguably his biggest yet. The pressure is mounting and he has no escape other than dealing with it. Ruotolo discussed how he?s approaching the magnitude of it in a recent interview with ONE.?

You know, it pops into my mind here and there, and I think everyone?s different,? he said. ?But for me, I feel like it?s my job to, kind of, block that out and focus on the task at hand. Because I?m not fighting the title. I?m fighting Magomed.?

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert has overcome a variety of challenges throughout his tenure in ONE. From grappling great Garry Tonon to a significantly larger opponent in middleweight MMA king Reinier de Ridder, Ruotolo has proven that there is no obstacle he can?t overcome as long as he puts his mind to it.

The upcoming challenge is like no other ?

On November 3, though, he?ll not only be facing another tough foe, but it will be for a ONE World Title. As such, the California native is giving special thought to how he can score a decisive finish and join his twin brother, Kade, as a submission grappling titleholder.?

?At the end of the day, that?s what I?m focusing on all day long. At night, that?s all I?m thinking about is Magomed, how I?m going to dismantle him,? Ruotolo said. ?Yeah, the title is definitely obviously added pressure. But you know, my brother and I have been dealing with pressure our whole lives, and we?re pretty good at, kind of, negating it by now.?
