ONE Championship is one of the biggest combat sports promotions in the world. It offers something that other promotions don’t, and that is variety. They have fights in kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA, and it is one reason combat sports fans like to tune in. It has some of the best fighters in the world amongst the roster and their events always produce quality fights.

Now, great performances by the fighters will be rewarded. In a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Sityodtong gave a massive update on the performance bonuses. He talked about giving out bonuses based on performances and gameness.

He said, “We’ve always given out $50,000 bonuses, but it wasn’t every event. It was if there were spectacular performances. We’ve been giving out for the last several years. But this year is the first year in which we will give out every single show, several of these $50,000 bonuses. Our main criteria is performance of course, but gameness.”

“Gameness, we define as fighting every second of the fight to finish. Even a loser, someone who loses, can win. We gave this bonus, Timofey Nastyukhin who knocked out Eddie Alvarez. He fought Dagi Arslanaliev just a few weeks ago and man, you got to watch this fight. It was insane. No one expected it to be this crazy, and it was a crazy crazy barn burner. And Dagi ended up knocking out Timofey and I decided that both of them get $50,000.”

ONE Championship will award a minimum of one bonus and a maximum of five based on the performances, according to South China Morning Post.
