Chatri Sityodtong Says ONE Championship Anticipates Core Business Profitability by 2024

ONE Championship is coming off a monumental 2023, but it plans on an even bigger 2024. In an interview with CNBC recently, ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong shared that the promotion is returning to Japan, Singapore, and the United States in the next year and planning its first event in Qatar. 

The short clip also featured Sityodtong answering a question about the organization’s profitability, which he explained is not too far away from occurring. And now, with big numbers supporting the organization’s growth, there is more and more proof. Check out latest results put out by ONE.

“This year, we’ll cross a little over 100 million dollars in revenue and next year, approaching 200 million dollars – if not a little bit more than 200 million. That would be our biggest incremental jump in revenues, I think, in the history of the company. But more importantly, we anticipate core business profitability by the second half of next year,” Sityodtong outlined.

The past year broke new ground for the world’s largest martial arts organization, as it made its live debut on North American soil with ONE Fight Night 10 in May. Along with its partnership with Amazon Prime Video that started in 2022.

ONE also announced partnerships with TV network giants worldwide, like Globo’s Combate in Brazil, Seven Network in Australia, and Supersport in Africa, among others. With 60 events over the past year broadcasted to 190 countries around the world, the promotion has further established itself as a global sports empire. 

Data from reputable research companies also showed that ONE doubled its broadcast hours and unique TV viewers, grew its social media following from 14 million to 82 million, and hit 28 billion organic video views between 2018 and 2023.

This data is supported by Nielsen’s findings, which ranks ONE among the world’s top 10 sports properties. As of 2021, the organization trailed only the NBA in organic video views and was #4 in broadcast reach. Figures from the past year haven’t been made available yet.

With its incredible rise over the past few years and the big plans lined up for 2024, ONE Championship is an undeniable force in the world of sports. Considering its broadcast partnerships, massive social media activity and engagement, and an unprecedented 60 events – up from 20 live events in 2022 – it’s not unbelievable to posit that the organization has grown even more in 2023.
