ONE Championship’s growth and market position

“BREAKING NEWS: ONE will turn profitable and cash flow positive this coming quarter (Q3) or the next quarter (Q4) of this year through a combination of revenue growth and cost optimization. Revenues will approach US$200 million on a run-rate basis this year,
registering approximately 50% growth as compared to 2023 numbers,” Sityodtong wrote.

ONE has steadily grown its presence around the globe and is now broadcast to over 195 countries, with huge partners like Amazon Prime Video Sports in the United States, Globo’s Combate in Brazil, and Seven Network in Australia.

As a result, ONE has become one of the world’s most-watched combat sports promotions, and Sityodtong proudly stacked it up against other properties.

“According to Nielsen, ONE is now the world’s #1 most watched combat sports property, ranking among the world’s top 10 largest sports properties (alongside NBA, Premier League, F1, etc) in terms of viewership and popularity,” he wrote.

He further added, “It is also no surprise that Forbes recently named ONE as one of only two combat sports properties in the world with a valuation in excess of US$1 billion. (WWE and AEW are scripted drama shows, not combat sports properties). The combat sports industry has long been a global duopoly between ONE and UFC.”

ONE Championship’s milestones in 2023

ONE Championship had a busy 2023, debuting on United States soil and introducing a weekly event series in ONE Friday Fights. This helped it unlock a wider audience in the West and grow its popularity further in Southeast Asia.

The heights the promotion has reached are certainly impressive, and Sityodong made sure to thank those who made it possible when announcing the recent developments.

“After 12+ years of investing in our global brand, building a worldwide platform business, assembling the world’s greatest athlete roster across disciplines, creating a weekly live global event schedule, forging a powerful product fan engine, establishing media broadcast partnerships in 195 countries, and igniting hundreds of millions of fans everywhere, my team and I are thrilled that ONE has entered a new phase of profitable growth,” he wrote.

“ONE is the Home of Martial Arts. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart to the greatest fans in the world!”
