Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu star Danielle Kelly and Angela Lee have started quite a back and forth. Kelly, who recently made her debut in ONE Championship, has set her eyes on Lee. Both the athletes have shown interest in facing each other in the past.

Lee and Kelly have spoken about each other and taken some digs as well. Lee was of the opinion that she could easily submit Kelly if they were to face off.

In a recent interview with ‘The Schmo’, Kelly talked about Lee as a potential future opponent. When she was asked if they would come face to face, she said, “Yes, if she takes the match.”

When The Schmo asked what would stop Lee from accepting a match against her, the American grappler said, “Because she probably knows my jiu-jitsu is better than hers.”

The BJJ star went on to talk about her previous match with UFC’s Carla Esparza. The match ended with Esparza bleeding after enduring a big cut while grappling. Kelly thus won the bout.

She also seems to be considering a potential move to MMA in the future. With her entry into ONE Championship, shifting to MMA might be closer than ever. A grappling match or an MMA fight with Angela Lee would be a big crowd-puller.

Many of her fans would be interested to see if she can succeed in MMA too. Her striking abilities would be under scrutiny.

Both the fighters are experts in BJJ and have shown some serious skills on the canvas. While Kelly has previously stated that she would like to focus on mainly grapplers, Lee has won most of her bouts via submissions. Thus, a future fight with two such great fighters standing together is sure to be a great success.

Both the 26 years old athletes have been immensely successful and have a rapidly growing fanbase. With similar styles and comparable strengths, Lee versus Kelly would be huge.
