The world will be watching when pound-for-pound striking great Superbon Singha Mawynn defends his ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title against top-ranked contender Chingiz “Chinga” Allazov in the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video this Friday, January 13. There’s little to separate the heavy-hitting pair, as they both possess enough within their arsenal to leave the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, with the monumental win. So, who will come out on top is anybody’s guess.

Even the athletes plying their trade in ONE think the battle is almost too close to call. Former two-division and reigning ONE Middleweight World Champion Reinier de Ridder is certainly finding it tough to pick a winner.

Reinier de Ridder saw almost equal chances while Liam Harrison picked Chingiz Allazov

“Great fight, man. I’m very excited about that one. Superbon defeated Marat [Grigorian] last time. Marat trains in the same city as I do, at Hemmers Gym. I go train with them every once in a while, and it was crazy seeing how well Superbon did [against him],” he said.

“His teeps are on another level. His knees are crazy. Everything is coming together for him right now. So that’s amazing. But Chingiz looked unstoppable last time as well. So that’s a fight that I’m really looking forward to”. Superbon has dazzled in each of his fights inside the Circle, and his knockout of kickboxing GOAT Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan to win the inaugural featherweight kickboxing crown in 2021 has even been described as one of the best knockouts in the history of the sport.

Allazov, however, excels in dog-eat-dog fights. And throughout his time in ONE, he has been exceptional in utilizing his ruthless style and finding ways to touch up his opponents with devastating strikes.

Because of this, British striking icon Liam “Hitman” Harrison foresees “Chinga” having a field day in the capital city of Thailand – though he warns that one slip-up is all Superbon will need to take the win.

Demetrious Johnson also couldn’t pick a side like Reinier de Ridder

“If anyone is going to be able to take the belt away from Superbon, it’s Allazov because he’s an animal. But in the performances Superbon has been putting on so far against similar guys like Marat Grigorian, he didn’t really get touched, and it was beautiful to watch, poetry in motion. So, if he fights like that then I can’t see Allazov touching him,” Harrison shared.

“But it only takes one mistake. Allazov has got nasty power in his kicks and punches. Superbon will have to be on the top of his game, and if he is, he’ll win.” Meanwhile, reigning ONE Flyweight World Champion and mixed martial arts GOAT Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson believes both warriors stand an equal chance at victory.

The AMC Pankration and Evolve MMA superstar admits the World Champion has looked unstoppable, but he has also been impressed by Allazov’s gallery of wins in the Circle.

“I think it’s going to be a great fight. Chingiz is pretty legit. Superbon obviously is one of the best to ever do it. He knocked out Giorgio Petrosyan. So, it will come down to whoever is going to do their style,” he warned.

Catch the two in action live on American primetime this Friday, January 13, in the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.
