In an interview with MMAFighting, ‘DJ‘ answered what it would take for him to accept another challenge like his March 26th bout against Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

“It has to be special, it has to be special opponent; it has to be special event. You know… When I did that one, it was 10-year-anniversary for ONE Championship against a big star like Rodtang. So, it makes total sense, right? In my opinion, it made total sense.”

“Everybody knows who Rodtang is… So it was the perfect fight for me to take against Rodtang. So, if another superstar like that comes up, and it’s a right, you know, event, then I might be up to that point,” said the 35-year-old athlete.

The AMC Pankration standout is currently scheduled to face Adriano Moraes in the rematch at ONE 161. This flyweight title bout will close the show (ONE Championship‘s first event in the U.S. prime time) on August 26.

Mighty Mouse’ knows he has an enormous task in front of him when he will rematch the Brazilian champion on August 26. The flyweight king handed Johnson the first knockout loss of his pro-MMA career. Thus, it appears he is not leaving any stones unturned to prepare for the biggest task of his MMA journey.
