Croatian MMA star Roberto Soldic may be known for his heavy hands, but he appreciates ONE Championship’s submission grappling scene too.

One of his favorite athletes to watch is ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Champion Mikey Musumeci, who will be in action at ONE Fight Night 15: Tawanchai vs. Superbon on Friday, October 6. “Darth Rigatoni” will step out of his natural weight class for the first time as he takes on Japanese martial arts legend Shinya Aoki in an openweight submission grappling contest.

Roberto Solidic cites Mikey Musumeci as his favorite athlete to watch 

In a recent interview with ONE, Soldic, who competes in the welterweight MMA division of the world’s largest martial arts organization, discussed how even though he doesn’t need to watch game tape on athletes in the grappling scene, he certainly enjoys watching Musumeci compete. “Mikey Musumeci is one of my favorite athletes in ONE,” he said.

“I like to watch him. He’s very fun. The Ruotolo brothers, too. I can’t forget them. They’re awesome also.” “Robocop” was one of the hottest free agents in combat sports last year after his contract with the top European MMA promotion, KSW, ended. After checking his options around the world, he decided to sign with ONE Championship.
