Undefeated heavyweight star Anatoly “Spartak” Malykhin plans to earn the fastest victory in his career when he takes on Amir Aliakbari at ONE: Revolution.

The happy-go-lucky athlete outclassed Alexandre “Bebezao” Machado in his ONE Championship debut earlier this year, combining his extensive grappling knowledge and truck-like fists to obtain a TKO inside the opening stanza.

Though the highlight-reel finish might be one of the most exciting knockouts this year, Malykhin is confident that there will be a much better stoppage in his second outing for ONE at the Singapore Indoor Stadium this Friday, 24 September.

“I think I’m on another level. Firstly, I’ve never been knocked out, and this is a big factor. Secondly, I think mentally I’m way stronger, and in terms of physical, in this part, I promise you guys, it’ll be very minimal wrestling. I’ll be way better at striking, so the fight will mostly focus on striking, and the rest, you guys, will have to see,” he stated.

“I feel great physically and mentally. It’s always great as usual. I enjoy this opportunity, this journey that I have, so I can’t wait to finish him.”

Can Anatoly Malykhin maintain his unbeaten streak at ONE: Revolution?

Putting athletes to sleep is what Malykhin does best. In eight professional bouts, the martial artist has maintained an outstanding 100 percent finishing rate, only hearing the end of a round once in his career.

Despite leaving the stage with his arm raised against some of the finest heavyweight athletes, he will not understate Aliakbari’s abilities in the Circle. The latter possesses a similar arsenal and owns seven first-round knockout wins.

“He’s very strong, and he has very good grappling and wrestling as well. But he has a lot of weaknesses as well,” the Golden Team standout revealed. “He has been knocked out a couple of times, but we cannot underestimate him. We will see in this fight.” Along with earning his second win on the global stage, this match could also bring him one step closer to a shot at the ONE Heavyweight World Title.

Last week, ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed that this colossal clash could be a heavyweight title eliminator. Echoing the sentiment, the Russian martial artist is prepared to show why he should be the first in line to steal the heavyweight crown from Arjan “Singh” Bhullar.

“I’m fully ready, and I’ll be more than happy to accept this fight. You know Russia’s big, and Russia’s waiting for its heavyweight champion,” the 33-year-old said.

“If ONE Championship organizes the fight in December, that would be the biggest and the greatest gift that I would have from ONE Championship.” The world title shot may very well be in the plans, but for now, Malykhin looks to dominate and conquer the man he will face in the Circle this Friday. Malykhin knows his talent and skills are far superior to Aliakbari’s, and he promises it will end in a flash.“I think I’ll be able to submit him in 16 seconds, sleep time!” he said.
