Angela Lee had her last ONE Atomweight World Championship title defense against the coveted Stamp Fairtex on 26 March 2022. Following that, the 26-year-old had to taste defeat at the hands of Xiong Jingnan at ONE on Prime Video 2. The recent times, too, have been pretty unruly for the ONE Atomweight World Champion as she was subjected to the tragic demise of her beloved sister, Victoria Lee.
Angela Lee was the first one to publicize the devastating news about the fall of her sister. Following her revelation, the entire world of MMA mourned the untimely demise of ‘The Prodigy’. Victoria took her last breath on 26 December 2022, but the reason for her death remains undisclosed to date. Angela hasn’t gotten over the demise of her beloved sister yet. The ONE Championship star took to Instagram once more on 29 January and mourned the tragic demise of ‘The Prodigy’.

‘Unstoppable’ posted a monochromatic childhood snap of herself with her sister. She also excerpted a heart-filling piece from Bryan Anthonys as the caption to her post. Angela’s grievous caption started off with, “Sometimes in life there are losses. Losses that can never really be replaced”.

The choice of the caption by Angela Lee spoke volumes about the frame of her heart right now. The demise of the 18-year-old had sent the entire MMA world into mourning, hence, the broken condition of her own elder sister was quite perceivable.

The words touched a lot of her followers as well, who expressed their support for Angela Lee and her family in the comments section.
‘The Prodigy’ had amassed a perfect 3-0 record in her short-lived yet glorious ONE Championship career. The ONE Championship boss, Chatri Sityodtong, was also taken down by grief at the demise of Victoria.

The Lee family didn’t want to disclose the reason of ‘The Prodigy’s’ demise and hence declared her last rites ceremony as a private event. But Angela Lee lashed out at the curiosity of certain media outlets who were reportedly trying to lure out the exact cause of Victoria’s demise.
She thanked the ONE Championship and everyone for their condolences and bashed the over-curious ones with a single Instagram post.

Previously, the ONE Championship supremo, Chatri Sityodtong, had termed the untimely demise of Victoria as a shocking event and penned a touching Facebook post about her. He also declared 14 January to be celebrated as ONE Championship’s “Victoria Lee day” at the pre-bout press conference of ONE Fight Night 6.
