Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade has one focus when he steps into the ONE Championship Circle in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video – to be crowned the ONE Bantamweight World Champion.

The 25-year-old phenom meets John “Hands of Stone” Lineker for a second time to contest the vacant divisional crown at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this Friday, February 24, and he predicts he’ll finish his heated rival in emphatic fashion.

Andrade said:

“I know how he fights. He knows how I fight. And that won’t change for the rematch. So, I’m sure I’ll knock him out one more time.”

John Lineker will see a new Fabricio Andrade

Despite his confidence, “Wonder Boy” knows he won’t be facing the same Lineker as he did last year, and he has been putting in additional hours in the gym to prepare for a tough battle.

In their first duel, at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October, Andrade controlled proceedings in the stand-up department by relying on his jabs to set up powerful rights that hurt his compatriot.

Lineker, who had been stripped of the World Title in the lead-up for missing weight, absorbed those shots but couldn’t get into a rhythm to piece anything significant together to stop Andrade’s assault.

The match looked as if it was sewn up for the Muay Thai stylist until a knee hit “Hands of Stone” below the belt, leaving him unable to continue and forcing the referee to declare the bout a no-contest.

‘Wonderboy’ is confident about the outcome favoring him

Four months have passed since that fateful battle, and with time to put in the work, Andrade knows his opposite number will have sharpened all his weapons to improve on his last performance.

But ultimately, he doesn’t think it will make much difference.

“He will definitely prepare more now that he knows how good I am. But I believe this will not make a difference. Three months of training will not make him become another athlete,” Andrade stated.

A victory for Andrade at ONE Fight Night 7 will see him earn his first MMA World Title. But fans can put safe money on Lineker doing everything in his power to stop that from happening, meaning their bout this Friday, February 24, will be a guaranteed barnburner.
