Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen returned to winning ways at ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II on Prime Video last Friday, February 24. And to him, the victory over Leonardo Casotti was just what he needed to flip the script, regain some much-needed confidence, and begin another charge to the top of the featherweight division.

The 33-year-old said, “Any win does a lot for me by any means necessary. My losses, I will have to avenge them, sooner or later. It does suck to lose. Martin Nguyen resorted to his fight plan and achieved the win

Speaking on his rival’s durability and how he managed it when they traded in the pocket, he said, “I was surprised. But at the same time, I didn’t want to get too reckless and get caught myself. So, I knew I hurt him a few times, but I didn’t want to go guns blazing and put on a show but also lose a fight.

“That’s not my style. The main thing was I just kept my guard up. It took me a while; I was expecting something else, and he threw something. With the victory, Nguyen improved his record to 15-6, and kept his World Title hopes alive.
