Stamp Fairtex made history in her latest bout and she’s looking to test herself further in the future. The Thai star became the first three-sport World Champion this past September when she claimed the vacant ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Championship against #2-ranked Ham Seo Hee in the main event of ONE Fight Night 15 in Singapore.

She previously held the division’s Muay Thai and kickboxing belts before focusing on her quest to MMA glory. She nearly accomplished her goal at ONE X in March 2022 after getting longtime queen Angela Lee in trouble with a huge body shot. But was that enough?

“Unstoppable” weathered the storm though, and eventually kept her place atop the MMA mountain. After their match, Lee told Stamp that she will have her time. More than a year later, her words rang true. With Lee focusing on goals outside martial arts, she vacated the belt that no one else has held, leaving the door open for Stamp to fulfill her destiny and making history.

Having dominated the competition in the MMA ranks, she is now looking at what’s next for her.  “Xiong Jing Nan, I feel like she is the only challenge I want to try right now,” she told ONE in a recent interview. “My next goal is to move up to fight Xiong Jing Nan in her division. I want to challenge myself to see how far I can go.”

The ONE Women’s Strawweight MMA World Title has also never been held by anyone else apart from Xiong Jing Nan. “The Panda” won the inaugural belt and has defeated everyone who has tried to take it away from her, including Lee.

Through 11 bouts in the world’s largest martial arts organization, the Chinese star has only lost once – in the final seconds of her challenge for Lee’s Atomweight gold. There have been very few who have had a rise in the women’s division quite like her. And it still continues.

Fairtex still dominates all

She has been untouchable in her division though, and even asserted that notion by dominating Thai striking phenom Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak in a mixed-rules striking match on the same night that Stamp made history inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

However, if there is someone who could dare turn the impossible possible, it would no doubt be Stamp. Now that she has proven to be the greatest Atomweight in the roster, she could cement her spot in history by dealing Xiong’s first defeat at Strawweight and do what even her idol,Lee, could not – become the first female two-division MMA World Champion.
