Fourth-ranked contender Kwon Won Il scored a second-round TKO victory over #5-ranked Artem Belakh in their crucial battle for position in the stacked weight class, and he was quick to call out Andrade in his post-fight interview.

“Wonder Boy,” who defeated Kwon in June 2022, responded directly after the callout via a video on Instagram, making his plans clear and accepting the South Korean star’s challenge.

“I saw that Kwon said that he wanted to fight me again. Kwon, I have some business to finish first with Loman. I’m going to knock Loman first. And then after, it will be my pleasure to give you a second chance. Be ready because I’m going to knock you out again – for sure,” Andrade said.

The Brazilian superstar claimed the World Title in a rematch with former divisional king John Lineker earlier this year, after he failed to do so in their first tussle due a no-contest ruling that came from a low blow he threw.

He is currently on a collision course with Filipino standout Stephen Loman, who earned his shot at the coveted crown by amassing three straight wins in ONE – the latest of which came against former longtime ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano Fernandes last November.
No date is set for their World Title clash, but Andrade has previously made it clear that he believes “The Sniper” won’t stand a chance when they square off.

As far as Kwon is concerned, he may need to score a win over Lineker or Fernandes to confirm himself as a genuine threat to “Wonder Boy’s” belt. But if he can continue his charge in the division, he may get his wish for a rematch with the Brazilian striker.
