As we gear up for next week’s event, ONE Championship announced the headlining bouts of its next event on North American primetime. On Friday, March 8, the world’s largest martial arts organization celebrates International Women’s Day 2024 by offering twin World Title bouts featuring the best female strikers on the planet today.

ONE Fight Night 20 will be headlined by a ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Championship unification bout between reigning queen Janet Todd and interim world titleholder Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom.

A veteran of nine bouts in ONE, “JT” has beaten some of the best the division has to offer, both in kickboxing and Muay Thai. After losing her promotional debut in a five-round war against the then-atomweight kickboxing queen Stamp Fairtex, the American went on an incredible seven-fight unbeaten run.

During her streak, Janet Todd claimed both the atomweight interim Muay Thai and undisputed kickboxing straps, asserting her dominance in two sports. However, she will have her hands full when she defends the atomweight kickboxing gold against one of the brightest stars in ONE today.

Phetjeeja is undefeated in her five bouts in the promotion, knocking out every single opponent put in front of her in Muay Thai contests. In her first kickboxing bout, she outclassed multiple-time World Champion Anissa Meksen to claim the interim strap of the division. “The Queen” will aim to take out another pound-for-pound great in Todd and continue to add to her own legend in the sport.

In the co-main event of the card, the undisputed ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues defends her crown against Spanish striker Cristina Morales.

Rodrigues came back from a lengthy absence due to motherhood to take back the division by dominating interim world champ Todd at ONE Fight Night 8 in March last year. She looked to carry that momentum when she challenged strawweight Muay Thai queen Smilla Sundell for her belt but failed to capture gold in a second weight class. The Brazilian now returns to her natural weight and will be more than ready to prove why she is above the rest of the stacked division.

Challenging her will be Morales, a former ISKA World Champion who is fresh off an impressive first-round knockout against Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak at ONE Fight Night 16 last November. The 30-year-old will certainly be motivated to claim back-to-back wins and add ONE gold to her collection.
