ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov is set to feature an intriguing showdown between Filipino knockout artist Jeremy Miado and undefeated promotional newcomer Mansur Malachiev on June 9, and the winner could well be catapulted into consideration to take on Brooks at some point in the near future.

Miado is on a four-fight winning streak, with all of his wins coming by knockouts. His latest victory, against #5-ranked divisional contender Danial Williams last October, shows that he has undeniable star potential, which Malachiev will be out to steal in his ONE debut.

Jarred Brooks gives his prediction for the fight
Brooks beat three of the strawweight division’s best en route to claiming the top prize from longtime titleholder Joshua Pacio last in December. He gave his view on both men’s advantages ahead of Friday’s showdown.

“Mansur is probably going to try and take him down as soon as possible. He’s your typical Dagestani type of fighter. He tries to just clog your legs and punch,” he said in an interview with ONE Championship.
“If it’s on the feet, Jeremy is very technical and he throws very fast. If you’re a straight-on fighter, you’re [going to have a hard time]. But if you have angles, then yeah, you can do a lot of things to Jeremy Miado,” he added.
