The 20-year-old striker is fresh off the biggest win of his career – a dominant decision win over #3-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Felipe “Demolition Man” Lobo on August 2 at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on Prime Video.

Nabil Anane has some big names to go against

That high-paced bout took place live in U.S. primetime at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. For Anane, the fight marked his fourth consecutive win in ONE and, importantly, solidified his status as a legitimate contender in the talent-laden bantamweight Muay Thai division. Looking ahead, many fans are undoubtedly ready to see the young star take on some of the division’s more established names.

Indeed, his victory over the former two-time World Title challenger proved that Anane is ready for the best of the best. Among those potential opponents are former long-reigning titleholder Nong-O Hama, surging Scottish knockout artist Nico “King of the North” Carrillo, and current bantamweight Muay Thai kingpin Jonathan “The General” Haggerty.

And, with reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 set to move up in weight and challenge Haggerty for gold this September at ONE 168: Denver, Superlek is another potential foe for Anane.

The Team Mehdi Zatout product admits that he’s excited to face any one of those opponents in the future, “In this division, there’s a lot of tough guys – Nico Carrillo, Nong-O, Jonathan Haggerty, and now Superlek as well since he’s fighting Haggerty for the title. There are four big names and (I want to fight them) soon.”

The young phenom is in no rush

Those big-name, blockbuster fights could certainly be on the horizon for Anane, but following his victory over Lobo at ONE Fight Night 24, he says he still needs to sharpen his tools and gain more experience under ONE’s bright lights before he takes on the division’s upper echelon.

The young phenom explained why he’s in no rush:

“I want to have more experience. I got to improve myself more and more and more because I did a good performance, but I got a lot of things to learn. But one day it will be my day. Like I said, let’s wait, no rush.”
