Dmitry Menshikov is confident that his ONE Championship battle this weekend will end in another early finish.

The Russian juggernaut is set to battle Sinsamut Klinmee in a lightweight Muay Thai match between former World Title challengers at ONE Fight Night 22: Sundell vs. Diachkova this Friday, May 3, inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

After back-to-back first-round finishes, Menshikov appears to have returned to form following a disappointing end to his challenge of Regian “The Immortal” Eersel’s lightweight Muay Thai crown in his promotional debut at ONE Fight Night 11 last June.

Ahead of this weekend’s bout, the 26-year-old is confident his current run of dominance will continue against “Aquaman.”

“He has absolutely no advantages over me,” he told ONE in an interview.

Sinsamut pushed Eersel to his limit when they clashed for the inaugural ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October 2022. He missed out on the belt via split decision, but his impressive performance earned him another shot five months later.

The Thai powerhouse fell to a knockout in the fourth round of that matchup, but he has since bounced back with two straight wins.

Despite Sinsamut’s recent run of success, Menshikov has failed to be impressed by what he has seen.

“My style will be a problem for Sinsamut. I studied his fights, and I can see that he doesn’t like fast-paced and high-pressure battles,” he said.

“As a result, he gets physically drained, and then he cannot hide from problems.”

The Kuzbass Muay Thai and Empire Club man dominated the competitive European and Russian circuits before making his way to the world’s largest martial arts organization.

His last two matches have proved why he is among the most dangerous strikers on the planet, and he plans to cause “Aquaman” problems while searching for a quick finish this Friday.

“I’m stronger, faster, tougher. All of that combined will cause a lot of problems for Sinsamut. If I close the distance, he won’t be able to change anything, and it will end very badly for him,” Menshikov said.

“If I catch him with my punch, the fight will end early.”

All the action from ONE Fight Night 22 will be broadcast live and free on Prime Video for fans across North America with an active Amazon subscription on Friday, May 3.
